It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a team that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their batsmen to maintain a record if not afforded the chance.

In the end, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a chance to create her newest gem.

Then best known as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her country failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 World Cup win arrived three months after her debut and seven world titles have come from 10 attempts across formats.

The gritty keeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India momentarily interrupted the winning streak.

That loss "pushed us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy said this week.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She made sure her country would not fail again.

If this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

Many contend the case for the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it has been a challenging time because it appeared I've had no rhythm completely," said Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit kick in and you just lock into the contest."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in taking over from iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in each encounter, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the opening delivery and from that point Healy was underway.

"A chance to take the field and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was removed the team needed 66 more at run per delivery - a manageable total now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we know we can achieve it."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this World Cup need to hear.

In recent days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.

During that phase they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated through the pain.

Yet even as she later admitted those injuries have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this World Cup is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as leader.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her last major obstacle.
