The EU might “act quickly and firmly” against what it calls “unjustified” travel bans issued by the US against five Europeans working on combating digital hatred and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson stated.

EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans targeted figures that were central to campaigns to introduce legislation regulating American tech companies.
