I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
